Meet the chef
If Barb had a personal philosophy, it would now be this:
Remember these five simple things:
1.- Free your heart from hate/discord.
2.- Free your mind from worries.
3.- Live Simply.
4.- Give more.
5.- Take less.
Sundays with Mom:
"One of my fondest memories is from when I still lived in Memphis in my mid to late 20s, Mom and I would meet for dinner and a movie every Sunday. She would cook me deer, wild turkey, pork tenderloin, or pot roast, often with a side of cornbread and mashed potatoes. She'd also make me a dessert, like Hummingbird cake, that I could bring to work and share with my colleagues."

"Fold in the cheese!"
"Potato Pie is my favorite dish of Mom's to make. It's comforting, and I have tons of memories making it with Mom. While I was only a few weeks postpartum, Mom tried to teach Haden to make this in my kitchen, right after we'd seen the "fold in the cheese" episode of Schitts Creek, and we laughed hysterically as mom told Haden to add more cheese to the pie."

Memories of Mary:
"...Mom and I got into the habit of spending a Saturday afternoon shopping or going to a movie and then sharing a plate of toasted ravioli and a half salad at Rich and Charlie’s Restaurant. Mom became my best friend and I decided then that I wanted a little girl who I could have the kind of relationship that my mother and I shared. I was given the gift of not only my daughter Samantha, but Haden as well..."
